Blog Writing #7.2 (due Friday 10/5)

Write a letter to an advice columnist in a newspaper. Make up a personal problem for the columnist to solve. Use a variety of modals and describe the problem as fully as possible.

Do not write the response to the letter, just the letter explaining the problem and asking for advice.

Here is an example:

Dear Abby,
I've suspected that my husband has been fooling around, and when confronted with the evidence, he denied everything - and said it would never happen again. I've been married for 10 years and I don't want to get a divorce. What should I do? - Tess

    1. Dear Yichen,
From my side of experience. you should go and knock on your neighbor door bringing his cat from your yard. Then you have to explain to him this matter in a way that he will understand that your not happy about what is happening.

    1. Dear Nayef,
I think the best way to solve this problem you have is actually telling her how you are feeling. You could invite her to dinner and tell her(in the nicest way) how much her constant calling is making you feel suffocated. Also when you go out remember to call her, so when she is at home worrying about you and you call her she will know that you are thinking about her even if you are not together. Remember dear Nayef communication is the most important aspect in a relationship.

    1. You're a woman so it's normal that your mood changes really often. Anyway, if you feel it has been worse than usually, you should see a doctor. You may have problem with hormones, so you had better check it!

  5. Dear Abby,
I got my dream job 4 weeks ago and everything has been going great. My boss is so nice...too nice. He has been treating me better than other workers lately. It isn't supposed to be a problem, but he tried to date me and gave me suggestion that I had better go out with him. I think he is in love with me! I really enjoy my job and I don't want to lose it! How could I tell my boss that I'm not interested in him and not get fired? What should I do?

Soccer takes a big part of life, and I can't stop watching my team's matches every day. Even if it was just a replay of the match, I can keep watchinig it until it is over. Regarding to that, I have been facing a lot of problems with my roommate. He can't stand watching soccer matches, and every time he sees me watching it, he starts an enormous problem I started looking for a new roommate, but I haven't found anyone so far. Can you please tell me what I should do?

    1. Dear Aziz,
I advise you to convenes your roommate in soccer. Other thing is that you should reduce your watching soccer matches that are replaying by watching other programs that you like in front of him. I hope that is helping you with your roommate.
      Best regard.

I've been in trouble for two days. I did an accident by my father's car, and I didn't tell him. My father didn't know until now because he has alot of cars. If I tell him the troth, he will be angry. Also, if I lay to him and he knows that I lay, he will be angry too. I really nervous about that. Can you please tell me what I should do?

    1. Dear Fahad Aldakhil,
This is a situation where you shouldn't be nervouse. In fact, from my experience as a parent I would appreciate my son if he confronted me with his mistake. However, I see that your father is the "aggressive type", so my advise to you is to get you father a nice gift first. Then, you waite until you feel that he is in a good MOOD. As soon as that is done, you confront him with a speach you have already prepared.

I hope you a successful confession. الله يرحمك

I've been wanting to be taller since I was elementary school student.
I am always the shortest one in the class. after I moved to Houston, I buy my clothes from kids section. My foot size is 22cm. It's difficult to find cute shoes. I know I should drink milk but I don't like it. and I don't like cheese.
I am already 22 years old!! what should I do??

    1. Being short isn't a problem, and you should be proud of your own apperance and personalities. According to some studies, the short woman is more likely to live a better life. Furthermore, Don't forget that the men prefer to be taller than the woman.
