Hello, my name is Qin, Yichen. I come from Shenzhen, China. I'm 26 years old and graduated from high school for some yers.
ReplyDeleteI like read comics or mangas or things like that. Moreover I still following some of those every week( or mouth, depends on how often it publish). I am also a soccer fan. My favorite team is Bayren Munchen which is a German soccer club. I am still playing League of legends(or may be i should use addict to), and I am a fan of professional player Brian "TheOddOne" Wyllie who is the jungler or Team Solomid.
Normaly I am can eat any kind of food, but I do care about the food temperature. My favorite foods are octopuses and mashrooms.
I don't exercise or travel very often duel to my laziness, altought I did travel alot of places. And I have to agree they are very fun sometimes.
I am changed my major before. It was bioscience at the first place. But after 2 years of study I decided to change it duel to many different problem ( most of them I believe are English). I didn't pick any major yet, but probablly I will pick one in the near future. My goal for now is to get a undergradute degree from university.
I don't talk much I believe, especailly when I dobn't interesting the topic.

DeleteMy name is Paulina, and I'm from Poland. I have been in Houston for almost 2 months. I'm 19 years old, and I graduated from high school in June, this year. I'm engaged, and my fiance is the reason of my coming to this city. He is from Lithuania, but we both moved here, because of his job.
ReplyDeleteIn Poland, I used to work as a dancer, in Asseco Prokom cheerleaders team. I have performed in many places in Europe and in the United States as well. I love dancing, so I try to take dance classes and improve my skills every day. I had been playing basketball for 6 years, before I started to dance, and still I like to watch basketball games. For sure, I will follow Houston Rockets team in this season :)
I like math, and I would like to study finance on the University of Houston, after the Intensive English Course in LCC. My goal is, to continue my education, and to travel around the world!

I had been Xi'an twice before I believe. It's a big city with lot of people, and have history that is many hundred yeas long. However, it's not a very good city in my point of view. Well, I mean it has every problem that most of those big and old city in China have.

I gained my Diploma degree from the most famous institute in Saudi Arabia Called the Institute Of Public Administration and it was in Business. After my graduation i joined The Saudi British Bank for Six month for training. Then i got an offer that i could not say no too and it was on an international company called Al Olayan Financing Company. Actually it was my reason to come the United States Of America and gaining a bachelor degree. i need a high quality level degree, so i found the most country that use my major in the most success ways. United States of America Considered the most country teach business with high quality experience. However lets start to talk about my personal life more. I am a kind of a person who lives his day as his last day in life and what i mean about that "I try to enjoy every single moment of my life as much as I can". Life is too short that is why I love to try new things and explore the world when ever i had the chance too. I draw, swim, travel,spend a lot of my time playing Xbox 360, and watching movies since there is no friends to hang out with in Houston. Hey! My name is Mariana Nucette and I'm from Maracaibo, Venezuela(: I think I'm the youngest in this class, I'm only 18 years old. I graduated en Venezuela last july from high school. This year I applied to an University in Maracaibo called LUZ, I'm suppose to get a respond by october or november hopefully, I'd like to be a doctor. Some people have told that it would be a great idea to move here and study here, but even though my country is a mess right now i really just want to stay there. I love to dance like any other latin person i guess, i love dancing salsa, merengue and even belly dancing too! I love cooking and also eating! Last year my cousin went to college so my aunt was very sad, for that reason i came to visit her, so she was the one suggesting that i should do this coourse and that's why im here! And I'm really enjoying it so far! I'm glad I have very nive classmates, and I hope we can learn a lot together(:

DeleteHello, my name is Abdulaziz, and I'm from the UAE. I'm 18 years old. I finished high school last year. While I was applying to the universities, I got a scholarship. Therefore, I decided to study in the US. I have been in the LCC since January, and I got the outstanding student in level 3 and 4. Studying in the LCC has developed my english skills, but this development came with a lot of hard work. Since my city has many horses clubs, i used to ride horses, and i got awarded in some races. I enjoy playing PS3, swiming, cars enhancing, traveling. The only future goal I'm thinking about so far is to finish my Bachelor degree and get back to my country. I hate to memorize things, therefore, I have chosen the engineering section. I hope that we'll have a good semester together.

ReplyDeleteI did volunteer work taking care of kids who are mentally challenged in New York every summer and winter.
I like traveling a lot. I've been to Germany, Holland, France, Belgium, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, China and some states in the US.
I moved to Houston about 2 weeks ago. Now I'm living in Cypress and I have to leave home at 6 AM, because of traffic.
Since I moved here I have been trying to find a good sushi place. I love sushi very much. I found a good sushi place today. I ate a lot of fish and vegetables in Japan but here it's difficult. So, I have been trying to cook for myself. I go to an organic supermarket and a Japanese supermarket every weekend.
Does Health Science relate to Nutrition?
DeleteI like Japanese food(may be because of octopus cuisine), and has been to some Japanses restaurant( I believe one called Tokyo one, and I forget other one's name). Their fodd are quite good in my opinoin.
I used to thinking about travel to Europe, because I had an interest at WWII. But for now I more like travel to Japen, altough it may not be a good choice duel to the situation( whatever, let's not talking about Politics).
I don't think eat fish is very difficult in Houston, especailly it's a coastal city, but anyway

I have a lot of hobbies which are common or not for you. I like cooking some food are not Chinese but also not Amercian. I also like to play Chinese traditional instruments and listen hard rock & death rock ( from a German band which I don't understand the lyrics)。
At the end , I want to say "Happy to be a part of you guys." I am enjoying at class and learning new things.
You may not notice you kind of quiet in class( duel to my opinion).

I like cook since I move in campus.I had ever thought that the kill was difficult until I have held it. Now I can cook kinds of Chinese foods, I think they are delicious. My other hobby is singing. I consider I have little talent, but I don't need people enjoy my song, only singing make me relaxing.
To Master skill normally by practicing over and over, but I do hope you didn't kill any prople, right?

I've already told you some of the basic facts about my life: I was born in New York, lived there for the first 12 years of my life after which my family moved to South Florida; I went to college in New Jersey and then graduate school here in Houston (at Rice); while I was a graduate student, I met my husband, and as they say, "the rest is history."
ReplyDeleteActually, there is more. I have 3 sons, ages 13 (almost 14), 11, and 9 (almost 10). My life mostly revolves around them. They're very ACTIVE. Common words from my mouth are "No ball in the house" and "Get off him!"
You also know that I didn't originally plan to teach ESL. I was getting my PhD in American literature at Rice when one of my professors suggested that I take the course to teach ESL--just to have another option in case my original plan didn't work out. Boy am I happy that I took her advice because teaching ESL has turned out to be great for me: I enjoy the work and the people so much AND the hours are great for me as a mother.
Someone asked me if I like to cook. The answer is no. On that note, I challenge any of you to come to my house and cook for my family and see how much you enjoy cooking! Your passion for cooking will quickly fade, I assure you.
Let me tell you something that you don't know about me. Before I was an English major in college, I was an accounting major. And boy am I happy that I failed "intermediate accounting II" because had I been successful in that course, I would be preparing your taxes rather than teaching you English!
In my free time, I like to swim, ride my bike, and read. My favorite thing to do is LAUGH. I love humor. If you make me laugh, I'll give you extra points on every test :)

DeleteI picked accounting because I thought it was a good way to earn a living after a 4-year degree. Many people in my family are accountants so I thought that I'd be one too. I guess that's it "in a nut shell," an idiom which means "summarized in a few words."

I like driving FAST with loud music turrned on usualy pop or rap but I also love Arabic music and linkenpark which is a hard rock band. I LOVEEEEE COFEI in fact I am in starbucks now writing this intro about my self .
